Utility Assistance

For those with low income who have a hard time to make utility payments there is help available.  This list includes programs available throughout the state- others may be available through county or private social service agencies. Here are a few programs set up to help those in California:

REACH -Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help

CARE -- California Alternate Rates for Energy Program

Home Energy Assistance Program [HEAP]

For tips on saving energy in your home, visit the California Energy Commission Web site where information can be obtained on energy savings tips, electricity questions, solar and alternative sources of energy.
