Training Centers

A variety of opportunities exist for youth in the areas of employment and training.  Your local "One Stop" center, including your local Employment Development Department (EDD) Office, have information and resources available to assist youth with job search, career exploration and locating training opportunities.  Resource Specialists and EDD Representatives are available to answer questions, provide you with information and assistance with locating training centers and to identify programs and services available to assist you with your employment and training questions.

You are able to receive help with researching the training opportunities and centers available in your local area or in areas outside of your local community.  Organizations such as the California  Conservation  Corps (www.ccc.ca.gov) and the Sacramento Job Corps Center (www.jobcorpsworks.org) are just two examples of employment and training opportunities available to you.  You may want to speak with your high school or college guidance counselor for information and assistance on obtaining information on training opportunities in your area.  You may also visit www.edd.ca.gov to begin your exploration of services, programs and opportunities available.
